A home for notes

Why this small corner of the web exists, and what I want to put here.

A personal website doesn’t need to do everything. This one has a simple job: give my notes a home.

I’m Jaime Marques. I’m interested in software projects, self-hosting, and AI tools, including Hermes. Those interests have something in common: the desire to look under the surface, try things, and understand them a little better.

What this journal is for

I want a place for the things that don’t fit neatly into a finished project: the decision behind a tool, a question that came up while configuring something, or an experiment worth coming back to.

The intention is to write about those things here. Some entries may be practical; others may just help me think. There’s no publishing schedule and no claim that every experiment will work.

A website I can keep simple

The pages are static. The posts are files. There isn’t an account to create or a feed designed to keep you scrolling. You can read an entry, follow the next idea, or leave when you’re done.

The visual language borrows from terminals and the feeling of a personal corner of the early web. The wing-like mark is a small nod to Hermes and to ideas taking flight, not an affiliation.

Starting here

This is the first entry, not the beginning of an invented back catalogue. The useful part comes next: writing down something worth sharing, one note at a time.

If you’d like to follow along without checking the site, the RSS feed will collect new entries. For the shorter introduction, there’s the about page.
